Ashwagandha for Insomnia

A Double-blind, Randomized, Placebo-controlled Study was carried out on 60 individuals who were divided in half with half taking the placebo and the other taking 300mg of Ashwagandha root extract taken twice a day for 10 weeks.  The conclusion found that Ashwagandha root extract 300mg improves sleep quality and sleep onset latency in people suffering with insomnia.

 

A 2011 article by Sitansu Kumar Verma and Ajay Kumar found that Ashwagandha has general animating and regenerative qualities.
